Works combine elements of pre-Colombian art and Latin influences with modernist elements in easel paintings and paper works. The oil paintings are often suffused with bright and/or earthy colors and contain characteristic textures created by the use of marble dust and sand mixed with the pigments. Subject matter is varied but often involves recognizable animals and personages in surrealistic or imaginary landscapes and situations.
Felipe currently lives and works in Lexington, KY.
